Signature Homestyle Chili
INGREDIENTS
2 Tbsp Canola Oil
2 lbs. Ground Turkey
4 Cups Beef Broth
4 Cups Tomato Juice
½ Cup Porter Style Beer
16 oz. Can Red Kidney Beans
16 oz. Can Black Beans
16 oz. Can Pinto Beans
2 14.5 oz. Cans Diced Fire-Roasted Tomatoes
1 Medium Onion
1 Sweet Potato
1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
PREPARATION (15 MINUTES)
Dice onion.
Cube sweet potato.
Empty beans and diced tomatoes into a colander and rinse well.
COOKING (4.5 HOURS)
In a large thick-bottomed pot such as a dutch oven, add the canola oil and brown the ground turkey over medium-high heat. Use a slotted spoon to remove the meat from the pot.
Add the diced onion to the pot and saute until onion is soft and fragrant (5-10 minutes), stirring frequently.
Add the ground turkey, beef broth, tomato sauce, beer, soy sauce, and Signature Homestyle Chili Seasoning. Bring the pot to a simmer.
Simmer uncovered for 2 hours.
Add the cubed sweet potato, beans, diced tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar; continue simmering uncovered for an additional 2 hours.
Serve with a dollop of sour cream and garnish with your choice of jalapeno slices, diced green onions, fresh cilantro, and grated cheddar cheese.
