Signature Homestyle Chili

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tbsp Canola Oil

  • 2 lbs. Ground Turkey

  • 4 Cups Beef Broth

  • 4 Cups Tomato Juice

  • ½ Cup Porter Style Beer

  • 16 oz. Can Red Kidney Beans

  • 16 oz. Can Black Beans

  • 16 oz. Can Pinto Beans

  • 2 14.5 oz. Cans Diced Fire-Roasted Tomatoes

  • 1 Medium Onion

  • 1 Sweet Potato

  • 1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 11 Tbsp Signature Homestyle Chili Seasoning

PREPARATION (15 MINUTES)

  1. Dice onion.

  2. Cube sweet potato.

  3. Empty beans and diced tomatoes into a colander and rinse well.

COOKING (4.5 HOURS)

  1. In a large thick-bottomed pot such as a dutch oven, add the canola oil and brown the ground turkey over medium-high heat. Use a slotted spoon to remove the meat from the pot.

  2. Add the diced onion to the pot and saute until onion is soft and fragrant (5-10 minutes), stirring frequently.

  3. Add the ground turkey, beef broth, tomato sauce, beer, soy sauce, and Signature Homestyle Chili Seasoning. Bring the pot to a simmer.

  4. Simmer uncovered for 2 hours.

  5. Add the cubed sweet potato, beans, diced tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar; continue simmering uncovered for an additional 2 hours.

  6. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and garnish with your choice of jalapeno slices, diced green onions, fresh cilantro, and grated cheddar cheese.
